Alllocated to Old Oak Common for most of its life , 7001 "Sir James Milne " later went to Wolverhampton Stafford Road in September of 1961 , but is shown here working the down " South Wales Pullman " between Paddington and Cardiff and Swansea , the Shedmaster at Old Oak having rostered it this day to this renowned duty.
The engine ended its days , in common with a number of the last surviving " Castles " , at Wolverhampton's Oxley shed in September of 1963.
