Ex-Great Western Railway Collett '57xx' class 0-6-0 Pannier Tank No. 3617. Built at Swindon in April 1939 and withdrawn in September 1964. The woebegone appearance of 3617 in June 1964 at Neath MPD in Glamorganshire is a portent of its forthcoming demise in September. The delightful grassy foreground softens this melancholy image.
