Ex-Great Western Railway Collett '57xx' class 0-6-0 Pannier Tank No. 3661. Built at Swindon in February 1940 and withdrawn in April 1965.

A shaft of February 1962 sunlight has highlighted 3661 at the delightfully named Taybont on Usk Station. The train is a Merthyr Tydfil to Brecon three coach 'local' and this station would be closed in December 1962. You can see the start of the fearsome climb (7 miles I believe) to Torpantau tunnel starting beyond the platform.
