Although the BR steam era had passed, many collieries in West Yorkshire continued using steam into the 1970s. St. John's at Normanton featured this Leeds-built Hudswell Clarke 0-6-0 Tank 'Cathryn', seen here in August 1973. Those of you who like counting, might want to decide how many 'internal use' black NCB wagons can be seen snaking off into the distance!
