92007 1965-01-01 Gloucester
Peter Kerslake writes "Climbing to Tuffley Junction Gloucester. Note how the 007 on the smokebox door has been cleaned...no prizes for guessing what it was known as on its home shed! New Year's Day 1965 in the final year for steam in the Gloucester area and with the sun in the right quarter 92007 comes up to Two Bridges at Tuffley Junction, from Gloucester Eastgate and heads westwards with fuel tank wagons, possibly bound for Avonmouth at Bristol. Eastgate Station has long been closed and this line has gone, all rail traffic through Gloucester now taking what had been the former Western Region loop line and the whole area is now heavily overgrown with the bridge seen here buried in the greenery, a contrast to the scene here."
