6005 1930s Harbury

Peter Kerslake says "Pictured in Harbury Cutting, on the Paddington to Wolverhampton line, King George II spent most of its life allocated to Wolverhampton Stafford Road., the longest such period being from 1934 until September1962, before finally being condemned from Old Oak Common in November 1962.
Built in July 1927 the engine has its original design of inside valve casing, outside steam pipes, small superheater header on the boiler and footstep on the smokebox door although the top lamp bracket has been moved down to the smokebox door so the step is now not really necesary and will later be removed."
