92245 1962-07-01 Bath Green Park
Peter Kerslake says "92245 had worked the Somerset and Dorset line during the 1962 Summer Services, destined to be the final year of through passenger workings on the line across the Mendips between the North of England and the South Coast, and is on the "Midland" section of Bath Green Park M.P.D. in July of that year.
The 9F 2-10-0s were introduced to the Somerset and Dorset from June of 1960 following earlier trials with 92204 which confirmed that the class would be better suited to the line than the Bulleid "Pacifics" which had been in use since 1951 and that they would help to reduce the need for double heading workings, especially on busy Saturdays during the summer months."
