92222 1960-10-29 Exeter St Davids
BR 9F 2-10-0 No 92222 leaving with the Torquay part of the Cornishman at Exeter St Davids on 29 October 1960.
Peter Kerslajke says "Extremely work weary and a most unusual choice of engine for the Torbay and Kingswear portion of the westbound "Cornishman" 92222 has presumably come on to these three coaches earlier detached here at Exeter St . Davids with the main Penzance portion already having gone on its way with an engine change scheduled at Newton Abbot, that locomotive rostered through to Penzance.
The Kingswear portion changed engines here rather than at Newton Abbot as it could then stop at Dawlish and Teignmouth, allowing the main Penzance portion a faster run".
