An unusual shot of T9 30717 double heading an 'N' Class 2-6-0 on a "City of Plymouth Holiday Express" and waiting to leave platform six at Plymouth North Road, bound for Ilfracombe. Peter Kerslake says "These Specials were arranged at that time in order to provide attractive days out for the good citizens of Plymouth at seaside locations in Cornwall and Devon, with specially discounted fares. Mr. Anthony, the Stationmaster, complete with bowler hat, is chatting to the crew of the T9 and the sun is already shining, but then it always did in those days!"
