Ex-Lancashire & Yorkshire Railway Aspinall '23' class 0-6-0 Saddletank No. 11342. Built at Horwich in October 1892 as L&YR No. 249 and withdrawn in September 1948 still as LMS No. 11342.

Both the LMS and LNER were quick to re-allocate locomotives previously bound by territorial constraints to pastures new. Here's 11342 drafted to Warwickshire and seen inside Rugby MPD in April 1937. We are indeed fortunate to have a '23' in preservation at (appropriately) the East Lancashire Railway.
The former LNWR shed was dived into two by a small workshop. The left hand side (nearest the station) was designated a 'Garage' by the LMS therefore used mainly as a running shed, the other was the main shed used for repairs. I believe this to be the latter as the roof smoke vent troughing has been removed - highly unlikely in a running shed.
