Peter Kerslake says "I made a couple of Saturday excursions to Peterborough whilst I was working away from home at Kings Lynn in early 1955, and this image dates from then.

My runs to Peterborough from Kings Lynn , via the former M.& G.N.R. line , were fairly lenghty ones, I recall, usually resulting in late morning arrivals, but my photographic efforts made them well worth while, with an infinite variety of Motive Power being captured on film each time."
