Following its many years stored both in the open and later in the Stock Shed at Swindon Works 6000 quot; King George V quot; was restored to working order thanks to Messrs . Bulmers of Hereford , and was permitted in October of 1971 to return to the main line at the head of the Bulmers Pullman train .br/ In this view 6000 is heading back home to Bulmers at Hereford on the final day of its four day working, the date being 9 October 1971 and is captured at Box on the Bristol main line , heading westwards from Swindon.br/ I photographed 6000 this day just further east of this location here when it passed through Chippenham.
