County class 4-6-0 No 1003 County of Wilts approaches Shrewsbury station with an up slow approaching the station from the north on June 13 1957. Shrewsbury had six Counties on its books in the mid -1950, and one of their main duties was working the "North to West" expresses as far as Newton Abbot, down one day and back home the next, duties which they shared with the depot's Castles and worked in conjunction with Newton Abbot and its own Castles.
