Ex-LNER Thompson 'A2/2' class 4-6-2 No. 60503 'Lord President'. Built at Doncaster in Dec. 1944 as LNER No. 2003 and withdrawn in November 1959. Quietly awaiting a call that may never come, 'Lord President' sits on standby duty in May 1959 outside the redundant York Queen Street Shed. Although 60503 has only six months left before withdrawal it is in commendably clean condition.
