Ex-LNER Thompson 'B1' class 4-6-0 No. 61221 'Sir Alexander Erskine-Hill'. Built by NBL of Glasgow in Aug. 1947 as LNER No. 1221 and withdrawn in December 1962. In April 1963, three generations of express locomotive are seen at Haymarket MPD in Edinburgh. Alongside Haymarket's own 61221, preserved NBR 4-4-0 'Glen Douglas' is prepared for railtour duty and 'Deltic' D9004 is seen beyond.
