Scarborough's 'other' station Londesborough Road, was just a short way from the main terminus station. For much of the year it was little used but in the summer months it provided very useful relief to avoid congestion with the many visiting excursions each day. Returning west under the fine ex-NER signal gantry is York MPD's ex-LNER Thompson 'B1' 61229. Monday 18th July 1960.
