A striking portrait taken at the famed 'Top Shed' at King's Cross. The subject is ex-LNER Thompson 'A2/3' 60518 'Tehran'. Not named after the capital of Iran (as might be thought these days) but after a racehorse that won the classic St Leger at Doncaster in 1944. Tehran's dad was an 'A1' 'Bois Roussel', now there's an obscure fact! Also, who knew there was a large factory chimney in the middle of London? Photograph taken in 1961.
