61291 1960s York Station

61291 1960s York Station

LNER-designed Thompson B1 No. 61291 is coming centre road through York Station in the 1960s, having been coaled and watered at York North MPD. It will reverse back onto its train (on the right) and continue her journey south. A much-missed everyday scene repeated many times each day at this most iconic of Yorkshire's stations. 61291 was built by NBL of Glasgow in Feb. 1948 as BR No.E1291 and was withdrawn in May 1965.
