The striking appearance of an 'A4' when newly released to traffic after a works visit, was a sight for sore eyes. Sadly, this was far from the normal condition in which most locomotives usually ran. York MPD in 1961 is host to an immaculate No. 60028 'Walter K. Whigham'. An unidentified 'WD' 2-8-0 wisely lurks beyond. Comparisons can be odious!
