Ex-LNER Gresley 'A4' class 4-6-2 No. 60029 'Woodcock'. Built at Doncaster in July 1937 as LNER No. 4493 and withdrawn in October 1963.

This lovely 1950s study of 60029 shows an uncharacteristically quiet moment at the North end of York Station. It would normally be throng with enthusiasts and spotters and I should know because I spent countless hours at this very spot!
