Ex-LMS Fowler '4P' class 2-6-4 Tank No. 42366. Built at Derby in Aug. 1929 as LMS No. 2366 and withdrawn in Apr. 1964. The SLS/MLS 'Caernarvonshire Rail Tour' in May 1957 produced many memorable scenes such as this at Robert Stephenson's 1850 Britannia Tubular Bridge. Not only were passengers allowed full trackside access, but were also given total freedom to climb atop the Bridge to take in the panorama! No hint of H&S, safety harnesses, risk assesments - or casualties! 42366 and 42342 were used in tandem for much of this tour.
