Ex-Cambrian Railway Herbert Jones '15' class 0-6-0 No. 849. Built by Beyer Peacock of Manchester in Nov. 1918 as CR No. 29 and withdrawn in Oct. 1954. BR Riddles 'Standard 2' class 2-6-0 No. 78005. Bult at Darlington in Feb. 1953 and withdrawn in Sept. 1964. The unmistakeable cliff face at Machynlleth MPD is the scene in 1954 for an unlikely duo! Ex-Cambrian Railways 849 (probably withdrawn) and BR 'Standard 2' 78005 with a decade of work still to do.
