NER 760 1910 York MPD
North Eastern Railway Worsdell 'S' class 4-6-0 No. 760. Built at Gateshead in May 1906 and withdrawn in March 1931.
Arguably one of the most elegant of Edwardian era 4-6-0s, Wilson Worsdell's 'S' class were a joy to behold. The impeccable turn-out of 760, seen here at York shed in 1910 is a testament to the pride of the crew. Copper-capped chimneys were not the exclusive province of the GWR either!
