NER 753 1923 Scarborough Falsgrave tunnel

NER 753 1923 Scarborough Falsgrave tunnel

North Eastern Railway Worsdell 'S/07' (LNER 'B13') class 4-6-0 No. 753. Built at Gateshead in December 1908 and withdrawn in October 1938.

Playing hide and seek with the cameraman, 753 emerges from the 260 yard Falsgrave Tunnel in Scarborough, linking the main line to Gallows Close goods yard and the route to Whitby. The crewman is about to hand over the token to Falsgrave Box's signalman. p.s. Jeyes Fluid and Bovril have been in production since the 1870s. Don't mix the two!
