An ex-Great Southern & Western Railway Aspinall '60' class 4-4-0 No. 3 in June 1954 at Wexford in Eire shunting some archaic-looking stock! John (later Sir John) Aspinall was to become CME and latterly General Manager of the Lancashire and Yorkshire Railway from 1886. Prior to this he had been appointed CME of the GS&WR in 1883 for whom he designed this 4-4-0. It was built at Inchicore in 1883 amd withdrawn circa 1959. n.b. Apologies for any errors in this description, Irish railways are not my strong point but I have tried to provide correct details where known.
