Shunting at Cork in June 1954 is this somewhat chunky ex-Great Southern & Western Railway Ivatt '33' class 2-4-2 Tank No. 33. It was built at Inchicore in 1892, becoming CIE stock from 1945 and withdrawn in 1957. It was designed by Henry Alfred Ivatt who would become the CME of Britain's Great Northern Railway in 1895, famous for his 'C2' and 'C1' classes of Atlantics.
n.b. Apologies for any errors in this description, Irish railways are not my strong point but I have tried to provide correct details where known!
