103 1960-06-15 Dalwhinnie

The SLS/RCTS Joint Scottish Tour of June 1960 featured two special trains on 15th June. One ran from Perth to Comrie and back via Gleneagles, headed by No 54485. The other was this train powered by the ‘Jones Goods’ No 103. It ran from Inverness to Perth along the Highland Main line via Aviemore, Blair Atholl and Pitlochry. Here the train has stopped briefly (12.20pm) at Dalwhinnie, north of Blair Atholl to take water and allow the participants to get off the train for a few minutes.
