6829 1965-02-27 Elmbridge Bank Gloucester
Even in the last year of steam in the Gloucester area it was still possible to get a good shot or two , particularly if it was early on a cold and sharp February morning, as was the case here at Elmbridge bank on 27th. February , 1965 at 9. 30. a.m.
6829, " Burmington Grange ", in happier days a Newton Abbot engine makes a splendid sight as she heads out of Gloucester on the Birmingham line with a mixed freight.
A lovely clean exhaust contrasts sharply with the dark but clear sky, with the Walls Ice Cream factory on the extreme left behind the trees.
