W31W 1958 Newbury
Peter Kerslake says "Former G.W.R. Railcars W30W and W31W are working coupled together, both being based at Southall at this time.
Two of the third and last series of 21 railcars built at Swindon from 1937 these later versions regularly worked in pairs, often with a standard coach sandwiched between them. The railcars survived until the early 'sixties with Bristol St. Philip's Marsh being the last home for the two remaining in service with W25W lasting until May 1962, although I think one may have still been running in the Worcester and Monmouth area as well."
