W10W 1950s Stourbridge shed
There are 2 people in the cab and note the flowers in the Permanent Way! Allocated to Worcester in early 1956 this railcar was one of six of her class at that Depot , Worcester having the most of these former G.W.R. railcars at that period in time , with the remaining twenty nine still in service being spread across the Western Region from Bristol and Weymouth in the South to Landore in the West and Reading and Oxford in the East . Early days in W10W 's life had seen her at Bristol St . Philips Marsh in company with W8 and W15 , working on local duties in and around the Bristol area as well as services to and from Cardiff and Newport via the Svern Tunnel . W10W had been withdrawn by late 1957 / early 1958.
