Midland Pullman 1960s St Pancras
Peter Kerslake says "This is the LMR 'Midland Pullman' which entered service on 4th July 1960 running daily between Manchester Central and St. Pancras and additionally operating a "filling-in" service to Leicester and back during the middle of the day; this was extended to Nottingham in 1961.
The two LMR six-car all-First Class sets were transferred to the Western Region in 1967 after they were replaced by loco-hauled Pullmans following the LMR electrification between Euston and Manchester/Liverpool".
