There is virtually nothing in this fine September 1961 view of almost new D9007 'Pinza' approaching Leeds at Wortley Junction that remains unchanged. True, youngsters can still be found enjoying the adjacent Wortley Park. The only problem is that unchecked tree growth has totally obscured their view of the railway and vice-versa. Wortley South Box, it's junction and semaphore signals are long gone. Electric catenary blights the skyline and Copley Hill MPD that was behind the camera is completely erased. The Leeds I once knew has gone utterly and been replaced by somehing alien and characterless. BR Class 55 No. D9007 was built by English Electric Vulcan Foundry in June 1961 and withdrawn in Dec. 1981 as TOPS No. 55007
