Ready to run back up from here at Kingsbridge to rejoin the Western Region main line at South Brent , 4561 had been a Cornish engine in earlier years , allocated to 83F , which was Truro , in the mid ' fifties.
Withdrawn in 1962 the engine was saved for preservation by purchase from Dai Woodham's yards at Barry thanks to the efforts of the West Somerset Railway Association , returning to steam on that line in September of 1989 .
