This undated 1950s view sees 'Borderer' heading south past York's Holgate racecourse platforms with their neat gardens. The rear of the train is still passing under the solid girders of Holgate Road bridge and York Station can just be discerned beyond. BR Peppercorn 'A1' 4-6-2 No. 60155 was built at Doncaster in Sept. 1949 and was withdrawn in Oct. 1965.
