One of the Reidinger 'Crabs' in store at Burton after withdrawal in June 1962, No.42825 was transferred there from Saltley in August 1954. This was its third type of valve gear, having had its original Walschaerts gear replaced in 1932 with Lentz rotary cam poppet valve gear it received the Reidinger type in November 1952.
