Having been allocated to all three SR Sections during its first decade, 41313 ended its days at Eastleigh, where it is pictured on shed. It was there from May 1964 until withdrawn in October 1965. 41313 rotted away at Woodhams’ scrapyard until 1975 when it was purchased as a source of spare parts for 41298 and 2-6-0 46447. After thirty years at Quainton Road it was decided that 41313 should be restored to working order, but this did not start until 2015. 41313 finally returned to steam in 2017 and is now working on the Isle of Wight Steam Railway.
