Rattling along at some speed has resulted in motion blur, but an interesting photograph nonetheless. In May 1955, Ivatt 2MT 2-6-2T No 41276 near Colwyn Bay with the Welsh Dragon. This was a push-pull summertime train which ran along the North Wales Coast though it was not to be found in the public timetable as a named train. Starting at Rhyl at 9.50am, it returned to Rhyl at 11.03pm having made seven return journeys during the interim between Rhyl and Llandudno, stopping once in each direction, at Colwyn Bay. Each run took around 30 minutes for the 18 mile journey, with a daily total of over 240 miles.
