Ex-Midland Railway Johnson '2F' class 0-6-0 No. 58218. Built by Beyer Peacock of Manchester in December 1883 as MR No. 1600 and withdrawn in July 1962.

Destined to achieve no less than 77 years in service, 58218 was one of 103 in her class. The majority had lives over 65 years, a remarkable achievement for such a modest locomotive type. This fine portrait was captured just north of Rugby station in November 1957.
