Still allocated to 83A Newton Abbot and long before Clun Castle became a celebrity I hope they clean all that ash from the footplate before leaving shed.
Peter Kerslake says "Once the pride of Newton Abbot depot and regularly tasked with working the "Torbay Express" and West to North duties to and from Shrewsbury 7029 "Clun Castle" survived in service until the end of Western Region steam in December of 1965. It was purchased for preservation and restored at Tyseley and now happily still in action."
