The Gloucester end of the station.Peter kerslake says "One of just four " Castles " left in service at Gloucester's Horton Road Depot at this date , 7029 was being used on a number of steam specials during her final months in service , but on this date , Saturday the 29th . May , 1965 she is heading back home to Gloucester with the 5.30.p.m. returning scheduled service from Swindon , the return run of the earlier 12. 45 . p.m. departure from Gloucester Central .This fine image shows 7029 heading home from Stroud after having been turned and watered on Swindon Works as the former Running Shed at Swindon was already closed by this date .With " Flying Scotsman " working the " East Midlander " Enthusiasts' Special to Swindon this day the authorities down at Bristol made sure that the many enthusiasts were also teated to having " Clun Castle " on scene as well !A good day to be at Swindon!"
