Typically worked by one of Old Oak Common's or Newton Abbot's " Castles " the down " Torbay Express " this day has the latter shed's 5079 , " Lysander " on the 12 noon " Torbay Express " to Kingswear , and what a picture she makes with her driver taking in the scene from the cab and not a wisp of steam anywhere ! Intending passengers throng the platform and there is much evidence of Royal Mail traffic over on the adjoining platform . Those were the days !
