What a delightful shot with signals , the beach and sea and a cheery wave for Laira's 5023 Brecon Castle as it heads home to Plymouth past the sea wall here at Teignmouth. One of Laira's best, 5023 was one of their 'Castles' pressed into service deputising for their 'Kings' when they were taken out of service in early 1956 and 5023 was rostered to a number of workings between Plymouth and Paddington more usually associated with a 'King'.
