Great Western Railway designed Hawksworth 'Modified Hall' class 4-6-0 No. 7915 'Mere Hall'. Built at Swindon in March 1950 and withdrawn in October 1965. Ex-LMS Stanier '8F' class 2-8-0 No. 48679. Built at Brighton in December 1943 as LMS No. 8679 and withdrawn in October 1966.

Oxley MPD in Wolverhampton is the scene for smartly turned-out 'Mere Hall' with 48679 for company. Just for your edification, Mere Hall is a 17th-century Regency style country house which stands to the west of the village of Mere in Cheshire, nowhere near any GWR lines!
