The delightful and typical selection of barrows, parcels and other platform denizens do not detract from a station whose platform is otherwise commendably clean and litter-free. Collett '5101' class 4108 is quietly simmering, waiting its next departure from Swansea High Street Station. Saturday 18th April 1964 with probably a train for Pontypool Road via the Vale of Neath Line (the loco will run around at Neath General). The service and line were closed on June 15th of that year
