Peter Kerslake writes "Taken from that splendid footbridge at the northern end of the station 'The Duke' has come off the down 'Midday Scot' and is running to Crewe North shed. Its train, complete with the through Plymouth to Glasgow coach, was worked forward to Glasgow by 46247 City of Liverpool which is waiting behind me on the centre road. Note the parcels van leading the formation on this day. My pictures of 71000 the following day are much better!"
