CR 272 1890s Stirling Station
Caledonian Railway Drummond '272' class 0-6-0 Saddletank No. 272. Built at St. Rollox in May 1888 and withdrawn in March 1922.
Another victory for 'Google Maps' which helped identify Stirling as the location for 272 in this lovely portrait. It was the prototype of just six of this class built to the design of the redoubtable Dugald Drummond.
