Peter Kerslake says "6009 King Charles II clearly showing that it has not yet received new front frames and replacement inside cylinder block; these were replaced during a Heavy General Overhaul from January to May 1956.
6009 was the only King to have spent its entire working life, from March 1928 until September 1962 at a single depot, namely Old Oak Common."
