6020 1939-06-21 Rattery

No 6020 King Henry IV climbs Rattery bank with the 3.30pm Paddington to Truro on 21 June 1939. It was the first of the 1930 engines, all of which had modified covers for the inside valves. After moving between Newton Abbot, Laita and Old Oak in its first three months, it settled down at the Plymouth shed and remained there until 1949.
