GWR King class 4-6-0 No 6018 King Henry VI waits at Bristol Temple Meads on May 30, 1950. It is in lined green with BRITISH RAILWAYS on the tender. It was one of three Kings transferred to Bath Road in 1948. They regularly worked the 8.20am from Weston-Super-Mare, returning with the 1.15pm from Paddington, and the 12.0 noon from Bristol and the 4.15pm from Paddington back. The allocation was reduced in June 1950, when two of the engines were transferred to Old Oak, leaving just 6000, which stayed until in October 1952. Interestingly there is a GWR Bullion Van leading the train.
