6014 1957-12-29 Leamington Spa

Just the wedge shaped front panels to the cab and the bracket for the Reporting Number frame remain on 6014 in this 1957 image, reminders of the engine's previous " streamlined " past, " King Henry VII " having been the last blue liveried " King " to remain in service, retaining that livery until a Swindon Works visit in January 1954.
Not all the class were found to need replacement front frames as they went through Swindon for overhaul between September 1954 and June 1958, and 6014 was one of the sixteen " Kings " not so treated, retaining its original frames until condemned in September 1962.
